Akhanda 2 Team Meets Aghoras, Heading To Bollywood Again?
Except for Dhurandhar, which was released on December 5th, Bollywood doesn’t have any other film to show off to the audience at the moment.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 18 Dec 2025 5:53 PM ISTAfter extensively promoting the film Akhanda 2 in the Mumbai media circuits, both Nandamuri Balakrishna and the film’s director have created a terrific hype around the movie.
However, the unexpected postponement of the December 5th release has squelched the buzz. While the film had its release last week, here’s an interesting plan the makers are considering at the moment.
Except for Dhurandhar, which was released on December 5th, Bollywood doesn’t have any other film to show off to the audience at the moment. And their next big moment will be Avatar 3, which is hitting the marquee this Friday (December 19th).
As this Hollywood project has drawn some flak reviews from the special premiere shows, reports are now doing the rounds that the Akhanda 2 team wants to capitalise on the vacuum.
Already, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu are said to have met some real-life Aghoras in Varanasi, to discuss the film they made. Earlier too, Balayya and team tried to showcase the movie to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityananda, but that didn’t work out. However, as the Avatar 3 gap will create almost a potential period until the New Year, now the Akhanda 2 team now wants to promote their movie in Bollywood again.
As Boyapati Sreenu’s upright interviews went viral, even Bollywood folks are interested in bringing this team on stage. If things work out, this second round of whirlwind promotional trips might actually reap benefits for the movie.
