Akhanda 2 Fiasco: What Might’ve Been Balayya Reaction?

Nandamuri Balakrishna is one of the most straightforward and aggressive personalities in Telugu cinema, and he has the reputation of wearing his emotions on his sleeve. He is very particular when it comes to his style of operation and likes to keep everything straightforward.

In this context, something interesting is happening now as his Akhanda 2 which should’ve released today, December 5, got postponed to a later date.

The point that must be noted here is that the project which is of this scale and proportion is generally expected to release on time, and there is no expectation of getting postponed. But that is not the case with this film as it got strangely postponed at the last minute, due to financial complications from the producer side.

But nevertheless, it must be said that the wait must be a frustrating one for Nanda Balakrishna, who must not have experiences something like this in the recent past. He is not accustomed to situations like this in general, and that must make it all the more tough for him to process what is happening now.

Now that the film has been postponed, virtually everything changes, including the release plan as securing as many theatres overseas will be a tough task now. All the screens that were allocated for this Balakrishna film would have been posted to other English films, and it would be a tough task for the distributor to get back these screens, even if the film releases shortly.

It has to be seen how Balakrishna and the team associated with this film would navigate this situation as this is unfamiliar territory for almost every major party involved.
