Akhanda 2 is inching closer, and the team is already hyping it like a festival. Fight masters Ram and Lakshman, who’ve been with Nandamuri Balakrishna for years, sound extra charged this time. They said working on this film felt almost spiritual. Every time Balayya walked onto the set, it felt like some strange surge passed through everyone.

Maybe it’s the Aghora vibe returning, maybe it’s just Balayya being Balayya, even though they couldn’t explain it properly, just that it pushed them to design action way beyond what they’ve done before.

They also revealed that Balakrishna appears in three different shades in this one, so each version needed its own action style. And here’s the hardworking part, the Himalayan shoot. While the crew wrapped themselves like penguins in 4 to 5 layers of clothing, with jackets, the 65-year-old star stood in the freezing cold wearing minimal costume because the character demanded it. No shivering, no rushing to the heater, nothing going running to the caravan, he stood till his shot got the final cut. He fought, he stood, he finished the takes. The stunt masters were half shocked, half proud, like, “Who does this at this age?”

Since this movie is trying to hit the Pan-India lane properly, the team scaled everything up, the visual size, the intensity, the Kumbh Mela backdrop, all of it. They said the producers didn’t hold back even for a second, and Boyapati Srinu mounted some scenes like he wanted the world to see the power of Shiva Shakti. According to them, a few sequences in the film might actually surprise international viewers too, not just hardcore Balayya fans.
