Akhanda 2 brings biggest ever deal for Balakrishna!

Nandamuri Balakrishna is in the peak of his career as he has been delivering consecutive successful films that are working very well at the box office. He is looking to take it up or not further with his upcoming film Akhanda 2.

While the film is in the final leg of the production, the official announcement on the release date is expected to be made soon. In the meanwhile, the makers are quickly completing the business aspects of the film.

The latest news is that JioHotstar, which happens to be one of the leading OTT platforms in the Indian cinema circuit has paid a premium prize for the Digital streaming rights of Akhanda 2.

Reportedly the makers wanted ₹85 crore for the OTT rights of the film and they were talks with leading platforms like Netflix, Amazon prime, Jio Hotstar. But the best possible deal came from Hotstar as they offered ₹65 crore.

The makers happily accepted this deal, and the leading OTT platform has paid ₹65 crore for the digital streaming rights of the film in all languages. This is the biggest OTT deal of all time for Nandamuri Balakrishna, and the makers must be super happy with the same.

It is being reported that the leading OTT platform has one certain condition for the makers and that is to release the film in December so that they can plan their alternative release correspondingly.

This could possibly be the release plan in effect for this film, as it is now likely to release in theatres in December and subsequently debut on Hotstar a few days after that.
