By: Shanaz B Syed | 14 Nov 2025 12:42 PM ISTFondly called 'Lion' by his fans, Nandamuri Balakrishna has a cult following in the South. Even in the North, his movies like Veera Simha Reddy, Akhanda, and Daaku Maharaja worked well with OTT and television, through the dubbing version. Here's to add more to that craze.
At the moment, everywhere on TVs and phones, people are watching the Bihar election results as counting is going on. Guess what, almost all the leading news channels in Hindi during this election result coverage are carrying the advertisements of Balayya's upcoming Akhanda 2.
After the super success of Akhanda as well in Hindi hinterlands, this time, his Akhanda 2, which is set to release in December, most likely, looks like North India distributors are promoting the film well in advance. Bollywood is always known for these extravagant promotions, and it looks like they have just applied the same formula to Balayya's Akhanda 2. We cannot be shocked if Balakrishna plans to give interviews and interact with the Bollywood media as well in the coming days.
Coming to Akhanda 2, the film is crafted by none other than top-notch director Boyapati Sreenu, who has given a string of hits like Legend and Akhanda to the Nandamuri star. The movie has beautiful casting, which includes actress Samyuktha Menon, known for her traditional charm, and Aadhi Pinisetty, who already amazed as a villain earlier in hit movies like Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu.
Earlier, speakers blasted off with Thaman S' thumping background score for Akhanda, and Akhanda 2 will be no less than that. When the composer talks about the music of Akhanda 2 in recent times, he is more confident about the film than the director and actors. That explains what Thaman has done for the film.
