By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Nov 2025 6:17 PM ISTNandamuri, Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu are coming together again for Akhanda 2. While the film is preparing for its release on December 5, the promotional campaign is in full swing.
Akhanda 2 is gearing up for a unique and strategic release as the makers have decided to dub the film in the Awadhi language.
Awadhi is spoken widely across the Awadh region of Uttar Pradesh and also in parts of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. This move stands out because, to the best of current knowledge, no Telugu film has ever been dubbed into Awadhi before. With this, Akhanda 2 becomes the first Telugu project to explore this specific linguistic space.
The decision comes after observing the impressive performance of the first Akhanda film in the North belt. Akhanda achieved strong results on both television and OTT platforms across northern regions, gaining viewers who were not familiar with Telugu cinema earlier.
This unexpected response has encouraged the makers to expand the film’s reach even further.
By choosing Awadhi, the producers are targeting audiences who prefer local dialects over mainstream Hindi. This helps create a stronger emotional connection and potentially widens the viewer base.
It also positions Akhanda 2 as a film that respects linguistic diversity while aiming for deeper penetration in new markets. If this strategy succeeds, it may inspire more South Indian films to follow a similar path and explore untouched regional languages.
