Akhanda 2 Shoot Heats Up In Maredumilli Forest Action

Some combinations in Telugu cinema always hit the mark, and Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu is one of them. After delivering three solid hits together, the duo is back for a fourth time with Akhanda 2: Tandavam. It’s a sequel to the blockbuster Akhanda and is being produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. M. Tejaswini Nandamuri is presenting the film.

This time, Samyuktha Menon has been cast opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna, while Aadi Pinisetty plays a key role. Right now, the team is filming in the forests of Maredumilli in Andhra Pradesh. A few important scenes featuring Balakrishna are being shot as part of this schedule, which will continue for a week.

Akhanda 2 is locked for release on September 25, just in time for Dussehra. The Maredumilli shoot is expected to add a raw and intense vibe to the film, especially with the action-heavy scenes being filmed in a natural setting.

The film has music by Thaman, who also scored the first part. C. Ramprasad and Santosh Detake are handling cinematography, while A.S. Prakash is managing the art direction. Editing is by Tammiraju. With a strong crew and high expectations, Akhanda 2 is shaping up to be one of this year’s big festival releases.
