'Akhanda' Enters Safe Zone Despite All Hurdles!
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Dec 2021 12:40 PM GMTNandamuri Balakrishna has created a huge storm in theatres with 'Akhanda'. This complete mass entertainer which came out in the first week of December impressed the action lovers and Balakrishna fans had an absolute feast right from the very first show. The film is creating records at the box office and many reports claim that it is the highest-earning film in Balakrishna's career.
The collections for the 11 days are out and it looks staggering. The film minted a share of 17.47 crores in the Nizam area and collected 13.55 crore in the Ceeded region. The movie grabbed 5.43 crores from the Uttar Andhra region while the Nellore region earned 2.31 crores. The collections in East and West Godavari amounted to 3.68 crores and 3.07 crores respectively while Krishna and Guntur regions collected a sum of 7.5 crores.
'Akhanda' collected 53.01 crores in both the Telugu states while Karnataka and rest of India amounted to 4.15 crores. The movie minted heavily in the overseas market too as it grabbed 4.93 crores. Combining all them together, the collection of 'Akhanda' for the first 11 days worldwide is 62.08 crores. The gross was around 106 crores which is quite staggering. The film was sold for a whopping 53 crores and needed 54 crores to break even. But it crossed the line pretty easily and is still going strong even after getting more than 62 crores. The movie already landed in a profit of over 8 crores and what is more commendable is the fact that 'Akhanda' managed to get this money despite the reduction of ticket rates by the Andhra Pradesh government. This result sure gave confidence to a lot of big films which are arriving in the next few months.
The combination of Boyapati and Balakrishna scored blockbusters like 'Simha' and 'Legend' in the past but 'Akhanda' did what they couldn't do. It is collecting heavily at the overseas market and there seems to be no stopping for this mass bonanza till 'Pushpa' arrives. Seems like the distributors have struck gold with 'Akhanda'. After this flick, Balayya is going to work with Gopichand Malineni and Shruti Hassan is the heroine in it. Balakrishna is also doing a talk show named 'Unstoppable' for 'Aha'.
