Bollywood has already made a biopic on yesteryear actress Silk Smitha with Vidya Balan as the lead. 'Dirty Picture' which released in 2011 was a sensational hit but her biopic is being made again in the South now. Popular host and actress Anasuya will be seen playing Silk Smitha's role whose life is filled with glitter, glory and agony.
Silk Smitha is known for her special songs and vamp roles in the 80s and 90s. She acted in more than 200 films across South India. Born in Eluru, Silk Smitha's real name was Vijaya Lakshmi. Anasuya is getting into the skin of the character for this film which is being made in Tamil. She shared a few on the sets pictures from her Tamil debut. She even posted a picture of herself with star hero Vijay Sethupathi though it is unknown whether he is part of this film or not.
Anasuya is currently working on Ravi Teja's 'Khiladi', Krishna Vamsi's 'Ranga Marthanda' and this Tamil film. In her latest click, Anasuya was seen sitting in a chair with sets in the background.
