Are the North heroes feeling a bit jealous of Southern stars? This is the question in the minds of every film lover nowadays. A few incidents in recent times prove that too. A lot of Mumbai media is questioning the Bollywood stars about the rise of South Indian stars and their market in the North.
Khiladi Akshay Kumar was faced with one such question recently. He was asked about his perspective on South films becoming big successes in the North and even cited 'Pushpa' as the example. Akshay was a bit uncomfortable with this question. Though he agreed to it, the question was unexpected to 'Housefull' hero. The content in the South is quite different from regular content in the North. The complete commercial action entertainers from the South are getting a grand reception from the masses of the North. This was the reason why films like 'Saaho' and 'Pushpa – The Rise' became so successful.
With all these changes arriving quick and fast, a few doubts are sprouting in the minds of Southern media. Are the North media and North cinema industry promoting Southern content just for business? Are they feeling jealous about South stars? Is the craze for South actors is mainly because of mass action content? Things like these should be given some thought. Even the South film industry is arriving with some quality content that is quite unique and different from the regular stuff.
Films like 'Rangasthalam' and 'Pushpa' are very different from the regular masala movies. Even they are getting liked by the North people. A film like 'Jersey' is being remade in Hindi because of the versatility in the content. Most of the films in Bollywood nowadays are either love stories or patriotic films or biopics. A lot of buyers in the Hindi market are fetching huge money for Telugu or Tamil action films. They are even collecting heavily too
