The month of April is here and with one week into it, the first notable release of Tollywood is about to happen. Varun Tej is all set to arrive with a sports drama titled 'Ghani' on 8th April. This film is coming out with decent buzz and good expectations. But it is the big releases this month which is worrying the makers.

As we know, movie lovers have spent heavily on 'RRR'. With the hiked ticket rates, the audience were forced to spend more than 200 rupees on a single ticket. Some of them watched the visual wonder multiple times in theatres which emptied their pockets. With 'Ghani' being the first big release in Tollywood after 'RRR', it is going to be a concern for the makers as they cannot predict if the audience will be willing to arrive in theatres for a mid-level hero like Varun Tej.

On 14th April, the much-awaited 'KGF Chapter 2' will be coming out. This pan-Indian film is one of the craziest projects in India and it is expected to do great business. The craze is massive and people will be willing to step into theatres for such a big scale film. On 29th, Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya' will be coming out and it has Ram Charan playing a key role. With Koratala Siva as the director, this film is expected to be a feast for the fans and everyone wants to watch the father-son together on the big screens. Pundits say that these big movies will make it tough for a medium-range film like 'Ghani' to attract people into theatres despite the good content.

Also, the OTT platforms are making deals with moviemakers in such a way that medium-range films are getting premiered within one month of its theatrical releases. Even big movies like 'Pushpa' and 'Radhe Shyam' were made available after three weeks. So, there is a chance that people might feel that they could watch 'Ghani' on small screens and prefer big movies. Hope 'Ghani' gets a good reception in theatres.

Saiee Manjrekar is the heroine in this flick while Suniel Shetty and Upendra play key roles. Produced by Allu Bobby and Siddhu Mudda, this film is directed by Kiran Korrapati.
