Nandamuri Balakrishna is close to completing Akhanda shoot very soon. He had already wrapped up shooting for the talkie portion in the film and all that is pending is the shoot for a couple of songs. These two songs will be shot in under 2 weeks once the shoot resumes. Meanwhile, the makers of Akhanda have started working on finalizing an optimal release date for the Balakrishna starrer. They always had the prospect of releasing the film during the Dasara season in mind and the latest news is that the makers of Akhanda have indeed locked Dasara release for the Balakrishna starrer.
The makers of Akhanda have apparently locked RRR's release date. Akhanda is now on course for theatrical release on the 13th of October this year. As mentioned above, this date was initially locked for Rajamouli's RRR. However, the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer is pushed to next Sankranthi for logistical reasons and has left the Dasara release slot wide open. Akhanda is now capitalizing on the same as the film has picked up RRR's date. An official announcement on Akhanda's release date will be made shortly.
In order to ensure Dasara release for Akhanda, the makers have to plan the forthcoming schedules in such a way that the entire shoot will be wrapped up by mid-September. So, we can expect them to get back to work very soon. Balakrishna has agreed to wrap up the entire shoot at a stretch whenever the shoot resumes. He too is eager to complete shooting for this project at the earliest so that he can commence shooting for his next with Gopichand Malineni very soon. At this rate, Akhanda might well be readied for Dasara release.
Akhanda is a powerful action thriller directed by Boyapati Sreenu and it features Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles. The film is being mounted on a big scale by Miryala Ravindra Reddy. Given the super successful combination of Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu, Akhanda has attained a lot of buzz and anticipation. This is the third collaboration between Balayya and Boyapati after Legend, and Simha.
