Aravindha Sametha' revived the old practice of distribution of shields at the success meets. Balakrishna and Kalyan Ram were given the opportunity to felicitate the Cast & Crew in this manner. Making Women Achievers present the shields would have made sense..Isn't it?
What surprised many is the fact that only the picture of NTR could be seen on the shield? The basic concept of 'Aravindha Sametha' - 'Palichi Penche Thallulaku Palinchadam Oka Lekka'. Whereas, None of the female artistes in the movie received due recognition when it comes to the shields issue and that's the harsh reality everyone should accept.
In the above picture, NTR, Trivikram and Balakrishna stays in the foreground. Pooja Hegde has to be in the background. Wasn't it a reflection of male domination?
You might preach 100 Things, but what is the use if you aren't implementing them? Had if Makers printed the pictures of Pooja Hegde, Supriya Pathak, Easwari Rao, Devayani and Sithara along with that of NTR on the shields, Everyone would have appreciated it wholeheartedly. NTR & Co., missed a golden opportunity to send a strong message.
