Legends such as NTR (Ramakrishna Studios), ANR (Annapurna Studios), D Ramanaidu (Ramanaidu Studios) and Krishna (Padmalaya Studios) had established studios and invested their hard-earned money in them. Ramanaidu had even set up a Film Studio in Vizag few years ago. Resources available here were used for some of the low-budget films. Still, A lot has to be done for the development of Film Industry in AP.
After bifurcation, Chiranjeevi contemplated on setting up film studio in the Port City. He, however, withdrawn the plans due to lack of support from the State Government.
AP Government is now ready to offer several acres of land at nominal prices for film studios in Vizag. As per the latest buzz, Nandamuri Balakrishna is keen to set up a Film Studio in Visakhapatnam. Foundation Stone will be laid by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for the studio.
Even AVM which is a reputed brand is looking forward to have it's studio in Visakha.
