Box Office: Shocking Collections of Adipurush in 5 Days

India's much-anticipated film 'Adipurush,' touted as the country's biggest fan movie, made a grand entrance at the box office with soaring collections in its first week. However, the numbers took a nosedive after the weekend, disappointing expectations of a strong comeback. Despite mixed reviews, many believed that the film would bounce back and attract larger audiences.
Unfortunately, the movie's performance continued to decline, with Monday witnessing a significant drop in collections. On the fifth day, the film's collections were unexpectedly low, particularly in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it managed only 2.82 crore rupees in shares.
In these two states combined, 'Adipurush' garnered 72.58 crore rupees in shares and 115.30 crore rupees in gross collections over the course of five days. In other states, the collections for the film in the first five days were as follows: 11.15 crores in Karnataka, 2.15 crores in Tamil Nadu, 0.76 crore in Kerala, and 61.90 crores in the Hindi-speaking regions and the rest of India.
Even in the overseas market, the film failed to see a significant increase in collections on the fifth day. The total overseas share collections stood at 22.20 crores so far, while the worldwide share collections for 'Adipurush' reached 170.74 crores. In terms of gross collections, the film amassed 343 crores.
Overall, the movie managed to achieve a theatrical business of 240 crores. However, considering the break-even target set at 242 crores, it is evident that the film has little chance of recovering its investment.
