Boyapati looking to touch Baahubali?
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Oct 2018 11:43 AM GMTNo movie in Telugu Film Industry, has seen the grandeur of a film like Baahubali before it has been attempted. The scale and epic visuals just took everyone by surprise and that very factor made it a Pan-India success.
Now, Boyapati Srinu seems to have decided to at least touch the budget range of Baahubali with his next, RC12.
The movie has been shot extensively in Hyderabad, Goa, Bangkok, Azerbaijan and Vizag, till now. Some locations are big sentiment for the director, so planned few sequences there.
Well, for all this the budget spent on movie increased by good 30% it seems. Already, 105 days of shoot has been completed and another good 30 days is still remaining.
Ram Charan has allotted extra dates that he gave for #RRR to #RC12, whose title is said to be Vinaya Videya Rama. As it is for the same producer, DVV Danayya, there are no clashes in that aspect.
But the budget has become a problem it seems. Already budget crossed 100 crores and another good 20 crores expenditure is expected. Total budget amounting to 130 crores is expected to be spent on the film in the end.
Rangasthalam producers spent Rs. 70 crores and the movie earned close to Rs. 126 crores, which is a Non-Baahubali record.
For this film to be classified breakeven and a hit it has to touch Baahubali-1 shares and for being classified as a blockbuster, Baahubali-2 shares in both Telugu states.
This seems to be an herculean task for a Sankranthi masala film from Boyapati. Let's wait and see!
