Srikanth has been looking to persuade filmmakers to consider him for supporting characters and go back to being hot favourite bad guy. He became the chocolate family hero of Telugu Cinema alongside Jagapathi Babu.
As Jagapathi Babu moved on to supporting characters post Legend success, Srikanth is also hoping that some film will give him that break to move on. He did Yuddham Sharanam and Akhanda villain roles in an attempt to start new innings in his acting career with a bang.
Yuddham Sharanam failed to become a success. Akhanda, released on 2nd December, took a huge opening and director Boyapati Sreenu designed a very different character from his usual heavy speaking loud villains to Srikanth.
It almost looked like Khadgam Srikanth becoming a bad guy. Srikanth proved himself as an actor who can perform in any role with Operation Duryodhana and Khadgam.
Akhanda character looked like a hybrid between the two. Srikanth performed well too but Balakrishna's Akhanda and Boyapati Sreenu's Over The Top action scenes, Thaman's loud BGM are getting more praises than Srikanth.
Will this new film open more opportunities for him? Let's wait and see!
