Generally, Historical/Period Films will have a longer run time. Filmmakers depend themselves saying its been done such a way as per the requirement of the script. Even 'Baahubali: The Beginning' have a run time of more than 150 minutes. Of course, Nobody complained just because of the visual spectacle. But, Most films having excess run time end up inviting criticism post release.
Director Krish doesn't want to take any chances for 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'. Hence, He is firm on his stand to keep the run time short and racy. This Historical Flick will have a crisp run time (less than 150 minutes) for sure but the exact figure could be known once the first copy is out.
