A TDP MLA's comments on the film theatre' rates have caused a lot of heartburn in the pro-TDP circles. His comments have spawned heated debate within the party. TDP MLA Anagani Satyaprasad has questioned the silence of film heroes on the issue and said that they were mere reel heroes and not real heroes.
He said that the film theatre owners were put to lot of suffering due to the standoff between the government and the film industry. He also said that several film personalities were keeping quiet on the whole issue. He said even film heroes were remaining mute spectators. These comments were made in a press note issued on his name. The last comment has sparked off a heated debate over who he is referring to.
Interestingly, film hero Balakrishna, who is TDP MLA from HIndupur, too is maintaining a studious silence on the whole issue. He has neither issued a press statement nor spoke to the media on the issue. While heroes like Nani, Pawan Kalyan and Siddarth have spoken Balaiah Babu remained silent. He did make some mild comments during the Akhanda release programme in Vijayawada, it went largely unnoticed.
