The Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) management had announced the head coach for the franchise who will serve the team in the new position for the next two years. The new coach will take responsibility as the head coach from the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League(IPL). Through Twitter, the franchise announced the new development.

Sanjay Bangar, who earlier served as the batting coach for the Indian team has been appointed as the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Bangar has been associated with the play-bold army RCB as the batting coach. He was given a promotion by the team management. Currently, Mike Hesson is serving as the head coach. With the new development, Mike Hesson will stick to his Director of Cricket Operations position.

This is the new change in the RCB team. Virat Kohli had earlier announced that the 2021 edition of IPL will be his last season as the skipper. Needless to say, Virat Kohli is the main reason people show unconditional love towards the IPL franchise. After Virat said he will step down as the skipper, RCB fans are in dismay. Sanjay Bangar taking over the head coach position is the new chance in the structure of the RCB team.

After being appointed as the head coach of the RCB, Sanjay Bangar said he is seeing this as a great opportunity to take up the captaincy. I will give my best to help the team in winning its first IPL trophy, he said. Sanjay also said the team has to do a lot of work at the upcoming mega auction.

The RCB management said Sanjay Bangar was promoted considering his rich experience. Seeing his vast experience, we are hoping that he would bring a big change to the team. Having said that, the team management has congratulated him on his new position.

Earlier Sanjay Bangar was in the news after the 2019 World Cup semis, where India lost to New Zealand. He was accused of sending former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to bat at number seven. As India lost the match by 18 runs, Sanjay Bangar was removed from his position as batting consultant.
