In the last few months, we have seen a lot of directors becoming interviewers during the promotions. We have seen Harish Shankar taking an interview of 'Acharya' team and Sukumar interviewing Puri Jagannadh during the time of 'Liger'. Sandeep Reddy Vanga had a chat with Rajamouli during 'RRR' and all the young directors interviewed Megastar for 'Acharya' promotions. Even director Karthik Dandu interviewed the hero and heroine of 'Virupaksha'. There are many more examples of this trend in Tollywood. Even before all of this, it was Rajamouli who interviewed Sukumar during the time of 'One Nenokkadine'.
Director Teja too has included himself in the list now as he has interviewed Gopichand for the promotions of 'Rama Banam'. As we know, it is Teja who made Gopichand famous in Tollywood by giving him ruthless villain characters in movies like 'Jayam' and 'Nijam'. Gopichand's villainy had a separate fanbase but he is a hero now who never worked with Teja again. They still share a great camaraderie. As we know, Teja never beats around the bush and doesn't mind asking bold questions that the regular anchors hesitate to ask.
The promo of Teja interviewing Gopichand came out and it is filled with hard-hitting questions. He asked why Gopichand didn't lift his call when they decided to make a film together. Teja also questioned about the rumours of Gopichand and Sriwass having differences on the sets of 'Rama Banam'. Teja even asked Gopichand about his achievements in the industry without being the son of T. Krishna. Let us wait and see what the duo has in store for us.
TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla are bankrolling the film under People Media Factory. Dimple Hayati plays the leading lady in this film which is in the last leg of its production. This will be Gopichand's 30th film and it is very crucial for his career. He will be seen as Vicky in 'Rama Banam'. Jagapathi Babu and Khushbu are cast as Gopichand's on-screen brother and sister-in-law respectively. 'Rama Banam' is releasing on 5th May 2023.
