'Ghani' On The Way To Become The Biggest Disaster In His Career!

Varun Tej's hit run at the box office came to an end with 'Ghani'. This sports drama which came on 8th April has bagged a negative talk right from the morning shows and the buzz was quite low too. This had a huge impact on the film's collections were very low compared to Varun Tej's recent form.
Reports suggest that the film managed to gain a share of four crores in the Telugu states which is a lot less compared to his previous projects. Varun Tej put a lot of effort into this project. He underwent a lot of training in boxing and even developed an athletic body. His hard work was seen on the screen but the film did not meet the expectations.
Directed by debutant Kiran Korrapati, this film is sure to end up in heavy losses for buyers according to trade pundits. On top of the bad talk and low collections, it has to be removed from theatres due to the arrival of the massive pan-Indian movie 'KGF - 2' and Vijay's action flick 'Beast'.
Mega Prince Varun Tej's last outing 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' was a smash at the box office and it earned around 25 crores at the box office. Before that, his multi-starrer 'F2' got more than 60 crores and love stories like 'Fidaa' and 'Tholi Prema' were good hits too. He earned a good following among the youth and earned the image of a bankable hero. He is known for selecting different scripts right from the beginning and picked a sports drama for his 10th film. Believing in Varun's craze, the buyers bought the theatrical rights of 'Ghani' for 27 crores.
Kannada star Upendra and Bollywood senior star Suniel Shetty will be seen playing crucial roles in this project. Saiee Manjrekar plays the female lead. Happening music composer Thaman is working on the music while George C Williams is the director of photography. As we know, 'Ghani' is produced by Allu Bobby and Siddhu Mudda. He is awaiting the release of 'F3' which came out on 27th May. He also agreed for an action entertainer under Praveen Sattaru's direction.
