Huge Weekend At Overseas For Sankranti Releases!

This Sankranti, we had two big Telugu releases in the form of 'Waltair Veerayya' and 'Veera Simha Reddy'. Both these films had huge expectations when they hit the silver screens. According to the reports, it is Balakrishna's film who got the biggest opening with $708K through premiers.
Megastar's film got $679K from the premiers which makes things quite interesting. Both these biggies got mixed reviews on its first day and we need to wait and see how things turn out after a good opening day. Sources say that the 'Veera Simha Reddy' got $79K on the first day making it a total of $779K and 'Waltair Veerayya' took off on a very strong note as well.
While both of them are expected to cross one million dollars each, we need to see how fast they can reach this mark. As we know, the festive season will definitely help the movies in the domestic market but it is not the situation in the overseas market. We need to wait and see how things turn out for these two movies in the US market.
'Waltair Veerayya' is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for 'Waltair Veerayya'. Shruti Hassan is the heroine while Catherine Tresa reportedly plays a key role. Ravi Teja did a very important role as well.
Coming to 'Veera Simha Reddy', Gopichandh Malineni directed it while Shruti Hassan is the heroine. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is seen as Balayya's sister while Duniya Vijay is the villain. Thaman is the music composer of this movie.
