Ramalakshmi from Rangasthalam, Chitti Babu's wife became a member of our family too, as Chitti Babu made a last impression on us with his story.
Sukumar designed the character of Ramalakshmi in such a way that we don't see her as a heroine but as an everyday village diva, whose life depends on working at the farms.
She has a her own beauty and Samantha Akkineni portrayed her on-screen like only she can.
But just face cannot make a character, we need voice too. Samantha's voice in Rangasthalam had a peculiar ring to it.
Chinmayi Sripada who normally dubs for her did not do it for this film. So, who did it? It is Jyothi Verma.
She hails from Polavaram and the team called her for a track to give Chinmayi an idea on how to dub for Samantha's role.
Sukumar liked her voice and the style and asked her to come to final version as well. That is how, she got the opportunity to be the voice of Ramalakshmi, who imprinted an image in our hearts and minds.
