Laila Mehdin attracted audiences with her lovely and laughing nature in 90's. She disappeared from the scene in 2000's and all we can remember her popular Telugu film after 1999 is Nuvve Kavali, in which she did item number.
She acted with Balakrishna in Pavitra Prema and Venkatesh in Pelli Chesukundam after Egire Paavurama. But in Tamil she became quite popular till she married Mehdin in 2006 and stopped acting in films.
Her popular Tamil films include Parthen Rasithen, Nandha, Pithamagan/Sivaputhrudu, Dheena, Dhill, Alli Thaanda Vaanam, Kadhal Naal Mudhal, Ullam Ketkume and Unnai Ninaithu.
Before she decided to get married, she suddenly lost her market as an actress to Trisha, Nayantara, Sadha, Shreya and Sneha, Meera Jasmine.
Now, she appeared in Alice and gave an interview in Ali's show. She recently bumped into Balakrishna during his film shoot and took photograph with him.
She said, "People are calling Balakrishna garu as Ironman but he is real life Ironman. He used to get up at 3 in the morning to go for jogging and his look in recent film is trendy. When we were shooting in Araku, he used to wake us up and go for jog at 3 am. We stopped doing so after people gathered in our path daily."
