Lion Day 1 estimates: Better than Expected!

'Lion' opened to mixed reports at the Box Office. But, This factor didn't affect the revenue of the mass entertainer on Day 1.
Trade Circles say, Openings in all the territories are above par. While Ceeded and Nizam revenues were pretty good, It is more than decent in rest of the areas. 'Lion' is likely to collect a share of around Rs 5.5 crore on First Day.
Balarishna's Performance, Story, Interval Bang, Couple of Songs, Background Score and Tribal Fight are the positives. On the flip side, Poor Narration and Pretty Weak Flashback spoiled the fun.
Even though the Day 1 figures were very encouraging, Commercial prospects of 'Lion' are average for now. The fate of the movie depends on who the target audience receive it...!
