'Mahanati' And 'Rangasthalam' Pulled A Rare Feat

Tollywood has been churning out different concepts of films these days. Two of the biggest blockbusters of 2018 are 'Mahanati' and 'Rangasthalam'.
Touted to be the biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri, 'Mahanati' movie directed by Nag Ashwin became a huge blockbuster. Keerthy Suresh has reprised the role of Savitri in a beautiful way and her outstanding performance also became one of the reasons behind the movie success. 'Mahanati' also received International appreciation at various film festivals. On the other hand, Ram Charan's period drama 'Rangasthalam' under the direction of Sukumar also became the biggest blockbuster. His terrific performance as sound engineer Chittibabu became one of the major driving factors behind the success of the film. Now, these two movies are making Tollywood shine brighter.
The films have made it into the list of top 10 Indian movies of the year in IMDb (Internet Movie Database). Mahanati has secured the 4th position whereas Ram Charan's 'Rangasthalam' got the 7th rank in the list.
