MLC's comments on welfare schemes cause headache to TRS

Young MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy is turning out to be an embarrassment for the TRS. Reddy was admitted into the TRS during the Huzurabad bypoll. Though his entry did not in any way affect the electoral outcome and BJP's Eatala Rajendra has won hands down, he has made an MLC. He was also given a free hand to build the party in Huzurabad.
But Kaushik Reddy's recent statements have landed the TRS in trouble. He said that the welfare schemes of the party such as housing schemes and pensions would be given to only those who are members of the TRS. He said the others will not be given any benefit. This statement caused quite a stir among the general public and the political class as well.
He made these comments at a meeting organized as part of the preparation for CM KCR's visit to Peddapalli. He has even said that the welfare schemes and other benefits would be given to only those whose names have been recommended by the local TRS leaders. He said that KCR would soon implement a scheme that gives Rs 3 lakh towards assistance for housing scheme. These would be given only to those who hold the TRS flag, he said.
Kaushik Reddy's latest statements have proved to be an embarrassment to the TRS. His comments have only gone on to strengthen the claims of the rival political parties that the TRs was misusing the welfare schemes to get votes. Kaushik Reddy's actions too have brought problems to the ruling TRS in the past.
