NTR Biopic Two Part Strategy Proved Costly

'NTR Kathanayakudu' is the first biggie to release for Sankranthi. For two days (Jan 9th, 10th), It has got huge advantage be it the 'First Festival Release' Factor and Abundant Theatres. Sadly, NTR Biopic failed to draw huge crowds since Day 1. While the First Day Collections fell shot of expectations, Day 2 and Day 3 Revenues continued to drop further. Even the largely positive reviews hasn't boosted the collections in any territory and that's shocking to say the least!
Decision to make NTR Biopic in Two Parts backfired. What appeared like a wise decision considering the budget & recovery factors prior to the release worked against 'NTR Kathanayakudu'. There were hardly any ups and downs in the film career of NTR. This is why enough drama & twists went missing in the Part 1.
It would have been a different story altogether had if Makers released NTR Biopic in a single part. 'NTR Kathanayakudu' appeared more like a show reel of Balayya rather than as his Father's biopic. Focus was more on the iconic roles essayed by NTR rather than real-life incidents.
Poor Show of 'NTR Kathanayakudu' would certainly affect the business of 'NTR Mahanayakudu'. Competition from YSR Biopic gonna worry the makers of NTR even more. Don't be surprised if the release date of 'NTR Mahanayakudu' gets pushed to March end citing the 10-days balance shoot.
