Nusrat Jahan's Marriage With Ex-husband Invalid: Kolkata Court!

Starting with her interfaith marriage and her announcement to part ways with her husband. Even her pregnancy is a matter of controversy. Her marriage was caught up in the controversy with the court orders on the marriage.
Hearing a petition on Nusrat Jahan's marriage a court in Kolkata had ruled out that her marriage with businessman Nikhil Jain is not valid as the wedding was not performed on legal grounds. The interfaith marriage was done at Bodrum, Turkey, and was not registered in India. Hence it is not valid, the court said.
In the orders, the Court said that the marriage between Nusrat Jahan and Nikhil Jain was held on June 19th in 2019 in Turkey. But the marriage was not registered in the country as per the rules but was not done. Under this ground, the marriage won't stand valid legally.
Trinamool Congress Basirhat Lok Sabha member Nusrat Jahan's marriage was questioned in the court by the BJP challenging the affidavit she submitted before the house that says her marriage with Nikhil Jain is valid. Now the Court said, the marriage is not valid.
Months after their marriage, the couple announced that they are parting ways. Calling the interfaith marriage invalid Nusrat Jahan leveled allegations of wrongdoing against Nikhil. She even alleged that Nikhil Jain kept her belongings illegally and mishandled her funds.
Hitting back at her allegations, Nikhil Jain maintained that he had urged Nusrat Jahan multiple times to register their marriage so that it gets the legal status. Even after multiple requests, she did not agree and the marriage was not registered. In a statement, Nikhil Jain said he had filed for an annulment in a court in Kolkata.
After her separation from Nikhil Jain, she gave birth to a baby boy on August 26, 2021. Reports say that the Lok Sabha member revealed her boyfriend, an actor in Bengali cinema Yash Dasgupta as the father of the baby boy. It has been widely reported that the birth certificate of the baby boy has Yash Dasputa as the father.
