OTT Platforms Planned Strong Weekend For Movie Lovers

The weekend is round the corner. Entertainment lovers are eagerly waiting for the weekend to binge-watch shows and films. The OTTs are not just mere entertainment platforms and they have now turned into an alternative option for movie lovers to consume content. Keeping this in mind, the OTT platforms are planning the right time for the release. Offering good content the OTT platforms readied three films for the weekend.
Nna, Thaan Case Kodu
We cannot start the list without mentioning the Malayalam film. Malayalam industry is known for producing edge-of-the-seat corner entertainers with simple and realistic stories. Following the same trend, the Malayalam industry gave a gem of a film with Nna, Thaan Case Kodu. Comically the film takes potshots at society and it tells us about the journey of a reformed thief. The film will be streamed on Hotstar from tomorrow.
Sita Ramam
The beautiful love story arrived at the theatres when the industry was going through a rough phace. It is a box-office winner and Sita Ramam won critical applauses as well. As a rare combination, Sita Ramam earned good collections and critical applauses too. The emotional love drama is complemented by the rich acting skills of the lead actors. The camera work needs a special mention here for capturing the real beauty of the Kashmir valley. The film will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from the 9th of this month. Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur played the lead roles.
Thallumaala:
Another Malayalam film is on the list. The black comedy film saw a good response at the box office and earned decent collections. Tovino Thomas who shot to super fame with the superhero film Minnal Murali played the lead role in Thallumaala. Talented actress Kalyani Priyadarshan essayed the leading lady role. Netflix bagged the streaming rights of the film and the action entertainer will be streamed from September 9.
Hindi film is also all set to hit the OTT platforms. The sequel of Ek Villain, Ek Villain Returns is slated for streaming on Netflix from the 9th of this month. The big-ticket film has an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria. Telugu coming-of-age romantic comedy 7 Days 6 Nights and Viruman will be streamed on Aha and Amazon Prime Video on 9th and 11th September respectively.
