Box-Office: Tamil Essence Failed To Grab Tollywood Attention

Tollywood star hero Thala Ajith also has a loyal fan base in Tollywood. The actor has recently scored a memorable blockbuster in Tamil with 'Viswasam' movie. Now, the same movie got released in Telugu with the same title.
Though the Tamil version became a super hit, the Telugu version failed to repeat the same magic. The Tamil essence in the film failed to grab the attention of the Tollywood audience. Also, as the movie is somewhat reminding us of Venkatesh's 'Tulasi' movie, the movie opened with a mixed response from the audience. The movie rights were sold for 2.5 crores but the distributors are afraid that the movie won't even reach the break-even point. On the first day, the film made a share of less than 30 lakhs and the trade is expecting that the movie is much likely to end up as a disaster at the box office.
Nayanthara played the female lead in this movie directed by Siva who helmed the Tamil remake of 'Vikramarkudu' titled as 'Siruthai'.
