One Shilpa Chowdary who is believed to have cheated a lot of bigshots including celebrities was arrested by the cops and the Court allowed the cops to take her into custody for the investigation which is underway. Going by the court orders, the Narsingi Police took Shilpa Chowdary into custody.
Amid this, those who were duped by her are coming out one after the other. A young hero had reached the police station and lodged a police complaint alleging that he was cheated for Rs 3 crore by Shilpa. He is the new addition to the list of people who complained against her.
As per the media reports, young Tollywood hero Harsh Kanumilli of Sehari fame lost Rs 3 crore believing Shilpa. Like the other victims, Shilpa assured him that he can get big profits by making investments which did not happen in reality. After taking the amount from him, Shilpa failed to return the money.
It is also said that Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu's sister Priyadarshini is one of the victims of Shilpa Chowdary. She lost around Rs 2.9 crore and lodged a complaint against her. It has been widely reported that she gets in touch with such bigshots and gains their trust by promising high returns on the investments.
After receiving a complaint by a victim on the grounds of getting duped, the Narsingi Police arrested Shilpa Chowdary and her husband. Using her villa as a base, she is running the racket reportedly. By hosting kitty parties, Shilpa Chowdary gets in touch with them and promises high returns.
By digging deeper into the matter, the cops reportedly found out that the couple used the money they earned by cheating people to make investments in real estate. To cross-check the information, the bank statements of the duo were examined by the investigating officers.
As the Police took her into their custody, all eyes are on the custody to know what more details can the police dig out in connection with the racket. It is said that the investigation might be on the lines of checking for the partners of the couple if there are any.
