What Balayya did at Gaddar Awards Last Night?

The Telangana government held one of its most prestigious film award presentation ceremony in the form of the Gaddar Awards event last night. This event had several superstars, including Allu Arjun, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vijay Devarakonda, and others in attendance.

Senior actor Nandamuri Balakrishna was given the prestigious NTR National Film Award for his lifetime contribution to Telugu cinema. He thanked the jury, the Telangana Government, and especially Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Balakrishna also remembered his late father, N.T. Rama Rao, during his speech.

Other major awards included the Paidi Jairaj Award for director Mani Ratnam, the B.N. Reddy Award for Sukumar, the Nagireddy-Chakrapani Award for Atluri Purnachandra Rao, and the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for writer Yandamuri Veerendranath. Young actor Vijay Deverakonda received the Kantha Rao Award, recognizing his impact as a youth icon in cinema.

Several films and artists were recognized for their work over the past 10 years. The event was a grand celebration of talent and dedication in the Telugu film industry, and it marked a new beginning for future state-level film awards in Telangana.

The Telangana Government recently organized the first-ever Gaddar Telangana Film Awards to celebrate Telugu cinema from 2014 to 2024. The awards ceremony took place on June 14, 2025, at HITEX, Hyderabad. The event honored several top actors, directors, and contributors to the film industry.
