However, the journey has proven challenging for many, with Chiranjeevi's "Syee Raa Narasimha Reddy" and "Godfather," Pawan Kalyan's "Sardar Gabbar Singh," and Venkatesh's "Saindhav" all falling short at the Pan-India box office.
Now, Balayya is set to embark on his own Pan-India venture with "Akhanda 2: Thandavam." The film's title teaser, released recently, featured the names of the languages in which it will be released: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Akhanda's success in the North Indian market, both theatrically and on OTT platforms, has fueled confidence in the franchise's potential for Pan-India appeal. While Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan struggled to capture the North market, Balayya's distinct style and mass following could prove to be a game-changer.
As Balayya steps into the Pan-India arena, the question remains: Can he break the pattern and achieve the desired impact? Only time will tell if "Akhanda 2: Thandavam" will be the Pan-India success story Tollywood has been eagerly awaiting.
