Bhumika Teams With Gunasekhar For Powerful New Movie

Bhumika Chawla has been part of some huge Telugu hits over the years. People still bring up her chemistry with Pawan Kalyan in Kushi or how she fit perfectly into Mahesh Babu's Okkadu and Jr. NTR's Simhadri. Bollywood gave her a few good moments too, thanks to Salman Khan. But somewhere down the line, the bigger roles slipped away and she mostly got the “sister/aunty” types. Her last outing was a small Tamil film called School, and that was that. So this latest update finally feels like a proper win for her fans.

Director Gunasekhar, who has done a blockbuster movie, Okkadu, with Bhumika, is returning to the silver screen with the upcoming movie 'Euphoria' with Bhumika in a solid, meaty role. Neelima Guna and Yukta Guna are backing the film, and they look pretty sure about what they have in hand. There’s a small sense of “okay, something interesting is brewing here.”

From what the makers say, the movie digs into how drugs are messing with today’s younger crowd. Not in a lecture-heavy way, but more like a story that leaves you thinking after the lights come on. Someone from the team even said Gunasekhar has given Bhumika her best character since Okkadu, which is a bold claim but also kind of exciting. They moved the release date simply because too many films piled up on Christmas, and they didn’t want their film getting drowned out in the noise. The team behind Euphoria has now pushed the release from December 25 to February 6.

The lineup of actors is pretty long, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sara Arjun, Nassar, and more. Music comes from Kalabhairava and the visuals from Praveen K. Pothan. If things go the way the team is hinting, this might be the comeback role people have been waiting to see Bhumika get for years.
