Here Is The Top Record List Of Re-Releases!

The trend of re-releases has been going on in South India for quite sometime now. The super hits of star heroes which arrived a decade or so back are digitalised to 4K and screened in theatres once again for the fans to enjoy. It is getting a huge reception from the fans. It started in Telugu with 'Pokiri' and every star hero fan is making sure that their hero's films are also getting re-released.

After Telugu, many movies in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil were also re-released. The highest collections among these re-releases belonged to Pawan Kalyan's 'Khushi' till a few days back. It got a gross of 7.46 crores. But Thalapathy Vijay's 'Ghilli' (Okkadu remake) which was re-released recently was a super hit and it broke the record of 'Khushi' within a week.

It minted over 17.7 crores in five days and set the bar very high. 'Ghilli' stood in the top place and superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Businessman' directed by Puri Jagannadh stood in the third place with 5.85 crores gross collections. Mohanlal's super hit movie 'Spadikam' took 4th place with 4.9 crores and 'Simhadri' which was the first film in the combination of Rajamouli and NTR got a gross of 4.6 crores. It is in the 5th position. The sixth place belongs to Tharun Bhascker's 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' as it collected 3.52 crores. Interestingly, this movie's first release got almost the same collections.

'Surya S/o Krishnan' stood in the 7th place with 3.4 crores. While 'Ghilli' stood in the first place, its original version 'Okkadu' did not get the desired collections. Interestingly, there are no movies of Allu Arjun, Prabhas and other heroes in this list.
