Is Pan-Indian Market Taking Heroes Away From Fans?

The range of heroes and their markets have gone to the next level after pan-Indian market came into existence. But the anticipation of fans for their hero's films has grown longer. Heroes have increased their fandom and increased their remunerations as well. Keeping all these in mind, they are taking 2-3 years for every film. While it is great to see them doing universally appealing films, they are distancing themselves from fans.

While they were confined to the Telugu market, they were doing at least one film per year. But their movies are arriving once every 2-3 years. Take NTR for example. In between 2019 to 2024, his only film was 'RRR'. In five years, he made one film and his 'Devara' will not arrive till the end of this year.

Ram Charan is facing the same situation. He accepted two films after 'RRR' but one project is yet to begin while the other is taking years together. Before 'RRR', his 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' arrived in 2019. Post 'RRR', he did a special role in 'Acharya' and nothing more than that. Allu Arjun released 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' in 2020 and 'Pushpa: The Rise' was released on December 2021. He gained the pan-Indian market with this film and even won a National Award. But he is taking three years for 'Pushpa 2' which may arrive on 15th August. These three heroes have slowed down drastically.

Even without doing a pan-Indian film, Mahesh took two years for 'Guntur Karam' and we all know how much time a Rajamouli film takes. He may not arrive till 2026. On the other hand, Prabhas is showing good speed lately. After releasing 'Adipurush' and 'Salaar' last year. He is going to arrive with 'Kalki 2898 AD' in May and it will be followed by 'Raja Saab' in December. There are 'Spirit' and 'Salaar 2' lined up as well.
