Mother-to-be Lavanya Tripathi returns to dubbing for this movie

Lavanya Tripathi may be preparing for motherhood, but that’s not stopping her from returning to the studio. The actress, who’s expecting her first child with husband Varun Tej, is back at work, lending her voice for the upcoming Telugu film Sathi Leelavathi. While most stars would opt for a break, Lavanya is quietly balancing personal milestones with professional commitments.

In Sathi Leelavathi, Lavanya stars opposite Malayalam actor Dev Mohan. Directed by Tatineni Satya of Bhimili Kabaddi Team and SMS fame, the film is described as an emotional yet entertaining take on married life. Produced by Nagamohan under Durgadevi Pictures (part of the Anandi Arts legacy), the movie has wrapped up its shoot and is now in post-production, with dubbing work currently underway. Mickey J. Meyer handles the music, while Binendra Menon and Satish Surya take care of cinematography and editing.

The film is eyeing a summer 2025 release, and insiders say it carries strong family appeal. Lavanya’s return to the mic has sparked attention, as it’s not every day that a mother-to-be chooses to dub for a lead role while expecting.

Lavanya and Varun Tej’s journey began on the sets of Mister in 2017. The couple tied the knot in Tuscany in November 2023, surrounded by close friends and family, including Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun. In May 2025, they shared the news of their pregnancy with an adorable photo and now, Lavanya’s steady return to work is earning her quiet applause.
