Lokesh’s DC Takes On Mega Hero’s Movie

Fearing Jana Nayagan craze, the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s #DC got postponed by a week, as the release date was shifted from July 31st to August 7th. However, Telugu producers who are eager to cash in on the craze of the director in the Telugu states are now making plans to release the dubbed version of the movie in a big way. Here’s the catch, however.

On August 7th, Tollywood has Mega hero Varun Teja’s Korean Kanakaraju movie releasing in cinemas. This film is so important for the mega hero because his last few films, including the likes of Ghani, Gandeevadaari Arjuna, Operation Valentine and Matka, ended up as disasters, with Venkatesh’s F3 being the exception. For that reason, he’s looking forward to scoring big with the Korean Kanakaraju movie. However, Lokesh’s #DC might now end up as major competition in Tollywood for that movie.

At the same time, August 7th is also sees another film titled “KQG”, featuring director Srikanth Odela’s brother Sasi as the lead, hit cinemas. After the director of the film, Kiran, expired midway through the film, is struggling for a long time to wrap up, and finally it’s hitting cinemas. We have to see if these movies are most likely to affect Varun Tej’s presence at the box office.

On the other hand, if a film gets good talk after the first show, surely there will be no looking back at all, no matter what others are in the competition.
