Lokesh lifted a lot of scenes as it is and people are keeping both the films side by side and circulating those videos. People who haven't watched 'Mudra' are stunned by the similarities.

Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most popular directors in Kollywood right now. His intense gangster dramas and action thrillers like 'Khaidi', 'Master' and 'Vikram' won the appreciation of everyone. His last film 'Leo' with Vijay got huge collections despite getting a mixed talk and he is currently working with superstar Rajnikanth. His Cinematic Universe has a lot of craze and people often look at easter eggs in his films in order to find out the connections between them.

He developed his own brand and the director has fans in the Telugu states as well. While his movies are widely popular, there is a complaint on him that he is heavily inspired by English films. Also, he is accused of freemaking old stories and presenting them in a trendy fashion. After watching 'Leo', people claimed that it is heavily inspired from 'A History Of Violence'. Now, people are stating that his hit film 'Master' which came in 2021 was copied from 'Mudra'.

'Master' featured Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Apparently, it is a freemake of 1989 Malayalam film titled 'Mudra'. Mammootty is the hero in this project and he is seen as a supervisor of juvenile prison. He finds that the kids are being exploited by local goons for doing illegal activities. A kid dies in this process and the supervisor is blamed for this. The juvenile home and other aspects share a striking resemblance to 'Master'.

Lokesh lifted a lot of scenes as it is and people are keeping both the films side by side and circulating those videos. People who haven't watched 'Mudra' are stunned by the similarities. We can even see a few shades of Chiranjeevi's 'Master' in Lokesh's 'Master'. While getting inspired is one thing, people are complaining about the blatant lifting of stories and scenes by this successful director. Interestingly, directors like Trivikram and Atlee get a lot of hate for doing the same while Lokesh for some reason gets a free pass.
