Mythri Movie Makers Eyes Fresh Talent, New Films
Now, Mythri is turning toward smaller, content-focused films. They aim to produce low-budget movies without big stars, opening doors for new talent.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 11 Aug 2025 4:58 PM ISTMythri Movie Makers has been a top production house in South India since 2015, delivering hits like Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, Rangasthalam, Nani’s Gang Leader, Pushpa: The Rise, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata. They’ve worked with stars such as Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas, and NTR. Plans are underway to collaborate with Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and actors like Ram Charan and Ajith. Their slate for the next few years is packed with big projects.
Now, Mythri is turning toward smaller, content-focused films. They aim to produce low-budget movies without big stars, opening doors for new talent. Scripts for these films are being finalized. Thanks to strong digital and satellite rights, Mythri can cover costs even if the films don’t hit big in theaters. They’ve also built a solid distribution network, letting them release movies independently and keep control.
In 2025, Mythri released four films. While Robinhood and 8 Vasantalu underperformed, Good Bad Ugly (Tamil) and Jaat (Hindi) found success. Despite ups and downs, the studio is sticking to its new plan.
Upcoming are two releases: Andhra King Taluka and the Tamil film Dude. Mythri is balancing star-driven hits with fresh, smaller films, focusing on strong stories and new faces for the future.
