Two Senior Stars, Same Century Target
Since then, it has become a dream for many senior stars to get into that club, but not all of them can do that. It depends on the film, the director and the timing as well.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 1 Sept 2026 4:07 PM ISTBack in the day, senior hero Akkineni Nagarjuna hailed Chiranjeevi for proving that senior stars could score something like ₹100 crore share with the movie Khaidi No 150. Since then, it has become a dream for many senior stars to get into that club, but not all of them can do that. It depends on the film, the director and the timing as well.
The likes of Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and most recently Raviteja, who are seniors in terms of age, as they are all around and above 60 years of age, have entered the ₹100 crore share club from the Telugu film industry. From other industries, we have the likes of Rajnikanth, Shahrukh and Akshay, and Ajay Devgan doing this feat. That makes us bring Nagarjuna and Balakrishna into the spotlight. Will these two heroes achieve that soon?
While Balakrishna is sort of playing the mass game with every movie, he’s yet to get into the ₹100 crores share club. He has Gopichand Malineni’s movie lined up for release. At the same time, Nagarjuna’s 100th film is also releasing in December 2026, and even this star hero should also look at the Century target. Well, that’s what fans are expecting, so let us see what happens.
