In the world of cinema, the choice of a movie title is much like picking the perfect name for a hero. It must exude charisma, spark intrigue, and ideally, leave an impression. But when it comes to Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming project, "NBK109," it seems the team is facing a small, albeit significant, showdown. Much like a tug-of-war in a classic Tollywood flick, Balakrishna, director Bobby Kolli, and the film's producers are at odds over the film's title.

Currently deep into filming for “Unstoppable,” his blockbuster OTT series, Balakrishna is also multitasking on the set of his highly anticipated 109th film, directed by Bobby Kolli. The movie, which promises to be an action-packed extravaganza, is nearing the final stages of production and has set its sights on a grand release for Sankranthi. But there's one dilemma: What to call this epic story? Two titles have emerged as contenders-Sarkaar Sitharam and Daaku Maharaj-and naturally, the decision has become a bit of a family discussion.

On one side, Bobby and the producers are vying for Sarkaar Sitharam, believing it captures the gravity and heroism of the plot. However, Balakrishna, ever the icon with a flair for dramatic personas, believes that Daaku Maharaj is the rightful name, and he has a compelling reason. The film's flashback sequence, a powerful portion of the story, features Balakrishna in a fierce, unbridled role as "Daaku Maharaj." To him, it feels not only appropriate but also vital to the film's essence to adopt the name of the character that embodies the film's intensity.

The debate, though, is expected to be settled soon, as the title teaser drops tomorrow, ready to set the tone for what's to come. Scheduled for a grand release on January 12th, Daaku Maharaj will feature a star-studded cast, including Urvashi Rautela, Bobby Deol, and Chandini Chowdary, with music composed by Thaman and produced by Sithara Entertainments. Not one to rest, Balakrishna is also preparing for his next venture, “Akhanda 2,” directed by Boyapati Srinu.

Ultimately, Balakrishna seems confident that Daaku Maharaj will capture audiences with a title that resonates just right. After all, as the saying goes, a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet-but in Tollywood, a film by any other name might not be half as memorable.
