After Pawan, Balakrishna Is A Mumbai Gangster!

Gangster-films itself is a genre, and Telugu films haven’t exploited them as much as their Bollywood counterparts. Though some movies like Basha in the 90s, Businessman in the recent past, and most recently Yash’s KGF explored this Mumbai centric gangster theme big time, it is Pawan Kalyan’s #OG that took the idea to the next level. After witnessing the mass impact of the Ojas Gambeera, now the Telugu audience should get ready to see another level mass-tsunami of the gangster genre.

Reports are coming up that Nandamuri Balakrishna, the most adored senior mass star of Tollywood, is coming up with a gangster avatar now. In his upcoming film, #NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni who has earlier made movies like Veera Simha Reddy with the hero, Balakrishna, will be seen in a powerful Mumbai don avatar. Already the team is said to be moving to Mumbai right now, such that they would explore the best of the locations before the monsoon season hits the Financial Capital of India, which disrupts the outdoor shootings big time.

Definitely with PawanKalyan’s #OG, the Mumbai don kinds of story got a new dynamic as the hero plays the role of powerful assasin in that film. Now that Balakrishna is doing the role of don directly, many are wondering if he would outshine the likes of Amitab Bachan and Shah Rukh Khan, who played the role of a don quite effectively and believably. Well, we have to wait for #NBK11 to answer that.
