#NBK111: Faded Bollywood Girl For An Item Number

When it comes to Nandamuri Balakrishna films, one thing never changes. Mass songs are not just songs. They are something that brings those ‘poonakaalu’ moments to fans, and especially special item numbers are something he’s getting right even today. And now, director Gopichand Malineni seems to be preparing another full-blown commercial blast for NBK111, with this special song.

After the roaring success of Veera Simha Reddy, Malineni and Balakrishna duo is teaming up again for #NBK111, and this time the makers are reportedly bringing Bollywood glamour for the reported item number. Talk is coming that Bollywood’s faded siren Nargis Fakhri has been roped in for this special mass number. She’s popular for the Rockstar movie among the millennials and was recently seen in the Telugu film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and then in the Hindi movie Housefull 5. Surprisingly, all those movies have bitten the dust so people didn’t even notice her, even in Tollywood.

Earlier, for Veera Simha Reddy, Balakrishna-Malineni brought a not-so-popular Chandrika Ravi for the special number Maa Manobhaavalu Debbatinnayi. Despite her presence, it is Honey Rose who walked with all the accolades for her mass steps and curvaceous looks in this song. But now the hero-director duo is raising the glamour quotient further with Nargis Fakhri, and that raises the budget quotient too for the producers.

However, there’s one thing we should talk about. At a time when many stars are chasing “pan-India seriousness,” Balakrishna is sticking to unapologetic commercial cinema after the flop show Akhanda 2, without being worried about Hindi release and all. However, with Nargis’s presence in the song, it looks like they are targeting the Hindi market again.
