Gopichand Malineni Finalises NBK111 First Shooting Schedule

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is still going strong at the box office, raking in over Rs 66 crore in just four days. And now, it looks like Balayya is moving straight into his next big project with director Gopichand Malineni, which is also rumoured to be an action entertainment.

After the massive hit of Veera Simha Reddy, the duo is back with something fresh, something amazing, something thrilling and something action. Lady Superstar Nayanthara will be the female lead, as informed earlier, and fans are already buzzing. The film is being made on a huge budget under Vridhi Cinemas, produced by Satish Kilaru, and expectations are sky-high.

The movie, tentatively titled NBK111, is said to be an epic story spanning two time periods, mixing history and the present. Balakrishna will reportedly play a powerful dual role, unlike anything we’ve seen from him before. The team is planning a look test soon, and locations are being scouted in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. Shooting is expected to start shortly, and with Arvind Kashyap from Kantara as the cinematographer and Thaman composing music, the makers are keeping the technical side top-notch.

Balakrishna will reportedly to sing a special song in NBK111, with Thaman confirming it’ll have a grand, Baahubali 2-style vibe, promising a visual and musical treat alongside Nayanthara.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Akhanda 2’s digital release, with the film set to stream on Netflix, likely in the second week of January 2026, bringing Balakrishna’s latest action drama to viewers nationwide after its limited theatrical run.
