Nora Fatehi’s New Song Set To Outshine Rashmika's Track in Thamma?

Nora Fatehi’s latest track Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka feels like the second kind, loud, dazzling, and impossible to ignore. The song, from Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Thamma, has started trending even before its full rollout, raising one key question: will it eclipse Rashmika Mandanna’s earlier release from the same film? The answer seems tilted in Nora’s favour, at least for now.
The music video is built like a visual carnival. Nora appears in a glittering sequin dress, the kind that sparkles even under heavy neon. Her movements bend between belly dance precision and modern freestyle, reminding audiences of her Dilbar and Kamariya days. A recurring masquerade mask gives the video a mysterious air, matching the retro club vibe bathed in purples and blues. Between her sharp steps and Ayushmann Khurrana’s brooding presence, the frame rarely lets you blink. Rashmika too features, but more as part of the story thread rather than the heartbeat of the song.
This is where the comparison turns interesting. Rashmika’s earlier number Tum Mere Na Huye leaned towards romance and carried a haunting sadness, riding on her chemistry with Ayushmann. It had charm but stayed in the lane of soft melody. Nora’s Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka on the other hand is designed to dominate dance floors and social reels. Where Rashmika’s track whispers heartbreak, Nora’s screams spectacle. Both have their place, but one clearly aims for mass appeal and instant replay value.
What ties it together is the backdrop of Thamma, a film balancing horror, love, and humour. With Sachin-Jigar’s beats, Amitabh Bhattacharya’s writing, and Vijay Ganguly’s choreography, the soundtrack is already shaping up as a Diwali chartbuster collection. Yet, just like in past years, it’s Nora’s fiery return to the special song circuit that may define the album. If Rashmika brings the heart, Nora brings the fire, and audiences usually know which one lights up a festival season louder.
