There was no delay, no silence. As news broke of India’s powerful response to the Pahalgam terror attack, celebrities across the country took to social media, standing firmly with the armed forces. Operation Sindoor, the name now echoing across timelines, became a rallying point for actors, filmmakers and public figures. Leading the chorus was megastar Chiranjeevi, who posted just two words: Jai Hind.

Bollywood followed quickly. Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, and Riteish Deshmukh were among the first to speak up. Riteish’s post came right after the Defence Ministry’s official update, writing: “Jai Hind ki Sena… Bharat Mata ki Jai! Operation Sindoor.” His words matched the mood of a nation that woke up to news of nine terror camps being destroyed in PoK and Bahawalpur.

The wave continued with Anupam Kher posting “Bharat Mata ki Jai” on X, while Nimrat Kaur wrote, “United with our forces. One country. One mission.” Paresh Rawal thanked the Prime Minister and the armed forces. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar added a 5 am post saying, “One nation, together we stand.” Vineet Kumar Singh, too, shared the Army’s poster and hashtagged #PahalgamTerroristAttack and #IndianArmedForces.

This wasn’t celebrity PR. It was emotion, unity and outrage channeled into public support. Operation Sindoor may have been a military response, but its impact hit home across the country and the film industry stood up without waiting to be asked.
