Reportedly, there are times when films will come up with original music, and folks enjoy it a lot. For example, Anirudh has composed almost 15 original tracks for “#DC” and that worked out big time in theatres, making the film a blockbuster. However, in some epic films like the “Dhurandhar” franchise, more than the original songs, the remixed versions of various 90s songs have become super hits. They balanced both fresh, original songs and remixes to get attention.

Falling in the same vein, now Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit is said to be working on such old remixes, which is actually costing a bomb. Though T-Series itself has so many old songs they could give to Prabhas’s movie for free, somehow Vanga needs some other songs that are with other audio labels. For his previous movies, he has used international music, though whether they have acquired rights for them or not is not known. But now, to acquire 4-5 old songs, the cost is turning out to be nearly ₹8-10 crores, as audio labels are demanding big.

They say that Spirit will have more than 10 songs like Dhurandhar, and a huge runtime as well. Surely Sandeep is known for his 3-hour runtime movies, but Aditya Dhar took the bar to the next level with 4-hour films and that worked out. Looks like Spirit is now spending a bomb to get this “Dhurandhar” effect to the fullest, but without losing that Sandeep Reddy charm.
